Hall of Fame football player Deion Sanders was praised during his coaching stint at Jackson State University. Most of those same critics who once praised him felt like Deion turned his back on HBCU football when he left for a higher paying job at the University of Colorado. Deion, also known as Coach Prime, is expected to earn $29.5 million over five years as well as performance bonuses and incentives. At Jackson State, Deion was earning about $1 million a year and even donated a portion to renovate student housing and facilities. Some critics are referring to Coach Prime as a sellout while others are recognizing his sacrifices and efforts during his coaching stint.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder case of rapper TakeOff. Patrick Xavier Clark was into custody peacefully. This is the second arrest in this case. On December 1st authorities announced the arrest of Cameron Joshua in connection with the shooting. Clark is believed to have fired the weapon that killed TakeOff while Joshua was arrested for possession of a firearm at the time of the shooting. Hopefully this will bring some closure for the TakeOff’s family and the surviving members of the Migos.
